Weddings. If you’re getting married (Congratulations!), scroll down to the bottom for the information you’re looking for. Please note: I only accept a limited number of weddings per year.
Children. Families. Newborns. Engagement. Seniors. Answers to most commonly asked questions are below!
How much is a portrait session and what does it include?
A one-hour session is $300 + tax and includes the on-location shoot and editing of images. You receive edited digital images (via on-line download – click, save, you’re done!) and full reproduction rights are included (you print what you want, when you want and how you want).
Senior and newborn sessions are $400 + tax and are typically 2 hours, on-location for seniors/in-the-home for newborns. Please feel free to drop me a note and I’d be happy to give you more information about how I approach these sessions.
Mini sessions are done multiple times a year. A 20 minute session is $200+, a 15 minute session is $175+. Mini sessions are announced via the FB page and website. Typically, there are summer, fall, holiday & spring minis.
Where do sessions take place?
Great question! The answer is just about anywhere – that is the beauty of on-location photography. Your home or backyard, a local park or some hidden gems around the city – whether you like nature settings or an urban feel, we’ll find the perfect spot for you.
When and how can I schedule?
Use the contact form via this page to send me an email or you can call and we’ll arrange your date and time. After you book your session, we will also have a pre-session consultation (which can take place via email or phone) to discuss final locations, ideas for the session and I can answer any additional questions you may have.
The session fee is due at the time of booking.
What can I expect during my session?
It is so hard to describe the feel of a session. Sometimes extra time is spent making sure little ones feel comfortable. Other times, we’re playing and having loads of fun right out of the gate. I adjust to your family and your children. One thing is for sure: we have fun!
Sessions feel relaxed. We move at a comfortable pace. My clients have said that they’re surprised by how easy it feels. That makes me happy.
For couples, I often say that it shouldn’t feel stiff or fake but rather, “that time we all hung out.” We stroll and talk and I get to document special moments and the love between two people.
What if I need to reschedule?
No problem. If you or your children are sick, I’m happy to talk about rescheduling your session. If the weather is an issue, we can also talk about finding an alternative date. There is no fee for rescheduling a session.
What should I wear?
Always a top concern for clients. No worries! My response is always the same: coordinate, but don’t stress. Solid colors are great, and patterns work well too. If you find yourself worrying, I’m happy to help! Many of my clients seek out my advice or guidance on clothing for the shoot. We can talk as much or as little as you like about attire. Be comfortable. Most of all: be YOU.
The shoot is over, now what?
Within a week of your shoot, you’ll receive a “sneak preview” via the Libby Hilf Photography Facebook page (feel free to tag yourself!). Within three weeks, you’ll receive a link to your on-line album of final images for you to digitally download (click, save to your computer, you’re all set!).
How do I get prints of my images?
Reproduction rights are included (you’ll receive a PDF print release form!) and can print the pictures YOU want and in the sizes you want. Photo canvases, albums, enlarged prints are all available through some fantastic vendors. I highly recommend Mpix and Nations Photo Lab.
If you’re getting married, here’s some information just for you:
How much do you charge for wedding photography?
Wedding coverage for 2018 begins at $2,750 + tax. This includes 8 hours of wedding day photography. Final images (typically 500-700) are edited and delivered to you on a USB drive. You also receive on-line galleries to view your final images (and can share with family & friends, if you’d like!).
I also offer an hourly rate for weddings that are less than 8 hours. Feel free to contact me for additional pricing info if your wedding coverage needs are less than 8 hours.
Engagement sessions are available and encouraged. Oh, and they are a lot of fun too.
